AutoCAD Electrical (Classroom Training)

AutoCAD Electrical

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. This field first became an identifiable occupation in the latter half of the 19th century after commercialization of the electric telegraph, the telephone, and electric power distribution and use. Subsequently, broadcasting and recording media made electronics part of daily life. Electrical engineers use AutoCAD to prepare diagrams of wiring electrical system layouts. With CAD Software, electrical engineers can have a quick and easy access to alternate designs. Another function that CAD programs offer is validating the circuits and the accuracy of the design.

Information such as the dimension, the material being used, and type of construction involved are inputted into the computer. With this information, the computer can run several tests and calculations on the characteristics of the design. After analyzing the results, the design is altered and the steps are repeated until the specifications are met.

Using Electrical CAD a student learns how to construct and complete technical drawings. He/She can also study and apply the principles of drawing/view projection techniques, sectioning, dimensioning, and release/revision documentation practices when developing detailed plant layout drawings.
